Alba, une collection fabriquée en France à partir d'or upcyclé

Some pieces of jewelry are far more than a simple story of design. They speak of material, craftsmanship, and vision. The Alba collection embodies this idea: a jewelry line that celebrates the beauty of gold while giving it a new life.

Upcycled gold: a new life for an eternal metal

Gold has always held a unique place in the history of fine jewelry. Its radiant color, rarity, and durability make it a precious metal par excellence. Yet gold also possesses a fascinating property: it can be reused indefinitely without losing any of its qualities.

This characteristic opens the door to a more circular approach to jewelry making.

In the world of responsible materials, two concepts are often mentioned: recycling and upcycling. While they share a similar intention, they do not describe exactly the same reality.

Recycling gold means recovering existing precious metal — for example from old jewelry, manufacturing residues, or other valuable objects — in order to melt and purify it. The gold is then returned to its raw material state before being used again.

Upcycling introduces an additional dimension. It is not only about reusing a material, but about giving it new value through creation. A material already present in the cycle of objects is transformed into a revalued piece, designed to stand the test of time.

It is with this idea in mind that we buy back gold directly from our clients, in order to reuse it in the creation of our jewelry. Today, 80% of our jewelry is crafted from upcycled gold. Among them, we are particularly proud of the Alba collection, which is made entirely from 100% upcycled gold.

Alba: a collection inspired by the birth of light

The name Alba literally means dawn in Italian. In many cultures, this moment symbolizes renewal: that fragile instant when light begins to appear, gradually transforming landscapes and colors.

It is this sensation that we sought to translate into the very design of the jewelry.

The Alba collection is composed of eleven creations, conceived as variations around a single signature motif: delicately interlaced rings. These circles evoke the cycle of time, the movement of celestial bodies, and the path of the sun. The lines are intentionally fluid and balanced: each curve seems to extend the next, creating a natural movement that recalls the slow progression of light on the horizon.

At the heart of the collection, certain pieces express this idea of movement and the meeting of forms particularly well. This is the case with the Luna set, composed of a ring and an ear cuff whose bold structure plays with solids and open spaces, allowing light to circulate freely through the gold and revealing a modern, sculptural aesthetic.

Two diamond-set creations also highlight the natural brilliance of gold. On one side, the Alba diamond pavé ring, with its motif of three rings — one of which is fully set with diamonds — captures the light with every gesture and adds an extra touch of refinement. On the other, the Alba long necklace, which reinterprets this motif in a more striking version: an elegant 80 cm chain extended by a gold circle set with 32 brilliant-cut diamonds, a true halo of light that moves gracefully with the wearer.

Through these creations, polished gold becomes a true revealer of light. The surfaces capture reflections and diffuse them softly, giving the jewelry an almost living presence. Depending on the angle of the gaze or the gestures of the person wearing it, the light seems to glide across the metal, like the first rays of the sun at dawn.

Responsible jewelry without compromising on excellence

Worn on its own, an Alba piece reveals a minimalist and modern elegance. Paired with other creations from the collection, it allows for delicate layered combinations.

When the material tells a story

Wearing an Alba piece means wearing far more than a simple precious object.

Gold is a rare and non-renewable natural resource, extracted from deep within the Earth. Its extraction requires significant technical resources and a large amount of energy. This reality is leading the jewelry world today to rethink its relationship with raw materials.

Some houses continue to extract new metals. Ours has chosen to value the gold already present in the cycle of objects. As we have seen, gold has a unique property: it can be melted, refined, and reworked indefinitely without losing its value.

This is also why we encourage our clients to sell their gold back to us. It is then refined and reintroduced into our creations, giving birth to new pieces of jewelry.

In the Alba collection, the material never disappears: it transforms, reinvents itself, and continues its story. A new chapter is then written, shaped by light, craftsmanship, and time.
